Prezi allows for the on line creation and sharing of presentations. Built in templates assist in the organisation of information and the creative final products. A step up from Powerpoint. Students need to create their own class accounts.

Student email is provided for the transfer of information between students to other students and staff. it is filtered and can be checked as passwords are available to staff. This allows students to communicate from home as well as staff to provide information and share documents with classes. Task: Check email regularly for class instructions. An online free website creator. This site and the school's website have been created using this drag and drop program. There are numerous templates and many components that can easily be added to the site. Users can get one free web page by signing up to get an account using an email address. One NoteMicrosoft One Note is an 'all in one' filing program where images, documents, webpages, vidoes can be created, filed and saved in tabbed folders. By including the One Note toolbar or going to Tools - send to One Note, items can be directly placed from Internet Explorer into One Note then edited, saved as a pdf or document and even shared to selected recipients.

Kahoot is an on line application for creating a game like question and answer session which participants join using a code generated for each session. Questions are timed and points allocated according to the time taken for each answer to appear. Results can be analysed and stored in an excel spreadsheet after each session for assessment purposes. Task: Create a minimum of 10 question session using your English spelling words. Ensure you have used correct spelling and grammar in all aspects of your work. Pinterest allows for the collection and categorising of images and ideas that can be easily accessed on any computer. Task: Using Pinterest, create a board that uses your own photos as well as those that you find on line for each of the following areas in textiles. Put at least 10 images in each.

Another on line tool for creating and assessing again in a 'game' like format. Data can be saved and stored however only materials created or shared with you are available to use via a unique classroom code provided when creating an account. Task: Using WebcamsComputers have built in web cams as well as the ability to plug in via USB, mobile web cams. These can be used to take low resolution photographs ideal for on line presentation or to video presentations for saving and sharing via on line means such as YouTube, Prezi, Nearpod etc. Ideas such as stop motion animation and short films can utilise Edustar programs such as Adobe Premier Elements, Debut video capture, Windows Live Movie maker in the AV tab of the toolbar.

Task: As directed in your textiles book, take photographs of your work in progress and as it is completed for presenting in your book for assessment. This must be done before you take your work home. Task: Take a selfie for a front page of your visual diary in art. Adobe Acrobat/ Acrobat ReaderIn the ICT and programming tab of Edustar, these 2 programs allow you to view .pdf (portable document files). Using Adobe Acrobat proX, documents can also be edited and aspects can be 'clipped' and saved across programs into pages of Publisher and Word. Pdf documents can also be changed into word documents for easier editing. The advantage of .pdf documents is that they can be reduced in size for emailing easily. You can choose the 'save as .pdf' in most Microsoft programs.
